Located in the sought after area of Prague's Jewish quarter (Josefov) that boasts a variety of luxury high-end boutiques, evocative sights, and great dining options is our Zatecka N°14 residence. This beautifully maintained building, complete with 24-hour reception and a lift, boasts an intricate facade with decorative cherub-like babies and mysterious alchemical symbols in plaster. Step inside the residence and you will be amazed by its overall luxury and style. The building boasts original interior elements (brass door handles, window latches, postboxes, light fixtures with brass & etched glass, etc.), a plush red carpet lining the stairs, and an overall elegant Old World European atmosphere. It is of interest to note that in this place Rabbi Loew, the late 16th century rabbi of Prague (and of Golem fame), was visited by Emperor Rudolf the Second and the imperial astrologer Tycho Brahe.
Situated on the corner of two handsomely appointed streets and across from the evocative Old Jewish Cemetery and the Pinkas Synagogue (used as a memorial for the Holocaust victims from Czech lands; the memorial is part of the Jewish Museum in Prague), this is the perfect place to base yourself while visiting Prague, especially if you are an avid fan of European history. The Rudolfinum, a reputable music auditorium and modern & contemporary art gallery that sits on the Vltava Riverbank, is a stone's throw away from the apartments; inside the Rudolfinum you will find Dvořák Hall - one of the oldest concert halls in Europe, known worldwide for its superb acoustics. The Museum of Decorative Arts is also in close vicinity; this lesser-known museum is a great place to learn about and explore in depth the beautiful history of Czech design. The Jewish quarter is completely surrounded by the charming Old Town quarter, making all of the city's sights within comfortable walking distance - Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Vltava River – all these famous gems of Bohemia are nearby and waiting for you to explore them. The neighborhood showcases some of Prague's best shopping options with a variety of fine clothing boutiques including Report's (fine Italian luxury goods for men), antique shops, and more.
Apartment amenities include free Wi-Fi Internet, satellite TV with Internet access, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, and more (not all apartments feature both a washing machine & dryer, microwave and dishwasher – please read each individual apartment description for specific details). The price includes weekly cleaning, full linen and towels.
