Duncan Center

In the premises of the Duncan Center Conservatory in Prague's Braník there is a modern theater hall – Duncan Center Theater – that has been presenting to the general public a rich program of interesting projects from the area of Czech, Slovak and world scene of contemporary dance and dance theater since the beginning of the nineties. Premier nights of projects by Czech and foreign choreographers, as well as premieres of projects and final dance exams of students of the Duncan Center Conservatory founded in 1992 by Eva Blažíčková take place at Duncan Center. Throughout the year also graduates of the conservatory perform here, as well as Czech and foreign dancers and choreographers who hold seminars for students. Since 1994 the Duncan Center Theater has been holding the Konfrontace Festival of Dance Theater and since 2000 also the Con tempo project has been taking place here. If you love modern dance you should not miss performances that take place at Duncan Center. Moreover, the ticket prices are very reasonable as the tickets cost around CZK 150 for adults and CZK 100 for students and the elderly. Tickets can be bought one hour before a performance at the Duncan Center Theater box office.
