U Malého Glena

U Malého Glena is located in the magical area of Lesser Town and is one of the most popular bars in Prague. This establishment which has been in existence since 1995 is very popular for many reasons, the most popular reasons being the different types of beer offered and the jazz and blues music that pumps through the cool underground bar into the early hours of the morning. U Malého Glena features two floors, the first floor opens at 10 a.m. and serves light or traditional breakfast items, lunch items and dinners until midnight while the lower cellar level starts to come alive at night with some of the best live music the city has to offer and stays open until 3 a.m. on the weekends. Ten different kinds of heavenly beer are served at U Malého Glena including Guinness, the original Budweiser, Pilsner Urquell and even unpasteurized Czech beer (Bernard, Kelt and Velvet) insuring that there is something to please different taste buds. The extensive drink menu has over 70 different cocktails and mixed drinks alongside Cuban cigars; the mojitos and margaritas are definitely worth trying. The cellar bar, which features live music every night, is famous for drawing jazz and blues talents locally and from all over the world making U Malého Glena the perfect place to see the best of the best Czech jazz musicians and other international stars from the jazz and blues music scene. U Malého Glena’s website features an updated music schedule in English and Czech. The establishment is available for private parties as well.
