I. Czech Lawn-Tennis Club Prague

The tennis club on Štvanice Island is the home of the oldest tennis club in the Czech Republic, founded in 1893. Since 2000, the I. Czech Lawn-Tennis Club Prague (I. ČLTK Prague) has been a proud member of the Association of Centenary Tennis Clubs, a group of prestigious tennis clubs worldwide, all boasting more than 100 years of tradition. I. ČLTK Prague has a lot to offer players of this historic sport. There are 13 outdoor clay courts, one court with a hard Rebound Ace surface, and two indoor courts in the club. In winter, players can refine their tennis skills on any of the ten indoor courts. The club is open daily from 7 a.m. until late evening hours and in summer you can play on three artificially-lit courts. The courts are also available for the general public, but only on week days until 3 p.m. and during weekends. The club restaurant with its enjoyable summer terrace is also open to the general public. However, it is more advantageous to become a member of the tennis club, as members play in summer season for free, they are entitled to a 15% discount in the restaurant and to a 20% discount for the Full Swing golf simulator. Tennis club members also have an outdoor swimming pool and a modern gym with fitness equipment, stationary bicycles, a treadmill and more at their disposal. Private tennis coaches are available for those interested in improving their tennis skills. Tennis school for children and one week summer tennis camps for kids are very popular among the younger set. You can reach Štvanice Island easily using public transport or by car.
