Michael Kiwanuka, a British soul musician, began composing his own rock songs at the age of 16. He released his first EP Tell Me a Tale and I'm Getting Ready in 2011. Following his debut album Home Again in 2012, four years later he released his second album Love & Hate and his latest album Kiwanuka was released on October 25, 2019 under the label Polydor Records. Michael says about his new album: “The last album came from an introspective place and felt like therapy, I guess. This one is more about feeling comfortable in who I am and asking what I want to say. Like, how could I be bold and challenge myself and the listener? It is about self- acceptance in a more triumphant rather than melancholy way. It’s an album that explores what it means to be a human being today.”
