Austrian Cultural Forum Library

Located in the city center of Prague is the Austrian Cultural Forum, which features an extensive library. The Austrian Cultural Forum, an international institution has branches in capitals throughout the world including New York, London, Paris, Budapest and Prague. The cultural society exists mainly to enable all those interested in Austrian culture to get to know it better at a more intimate level. Because of this interest in Austrian culture the Austrian Cultural Forum exists and provides Austrian libraries for the general public. The Czech branch of the Austrian Cultural Forum is conveniently situated on Jungmannovo Square in the center of Prague between New Town and Old Town making it easy to reach by metro, tram or car. The cultural center runs a gallery and also organizes a wide range of cultural activities and projects including lectures and presentations. The Austrian Cultural Forum Library is open from Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The library’s catalogue focuses on Austrian fiction and non-fiction, from current to old publications. It is possible to browse the library’s catalogue in the comfort of your own home as their catalogue is available online.
