Detoa

With traditions reaching back to 1908, the Czech company Detoa is one of the last producers of traditional wooden toys not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Europe. Wooden toys, previously known under the brand names of Tofa and Schowanek, excel in their high quality and esthetics and are hand-made from the same high-quality materials traditionally used for generations. The Detoa factory in Jiřetín pod Bukovou is the largest, and at the same time the oldest, producer of wooden toys, wooden beads, board game components and piano keyboards in the Czech Republic. Toys such as wooden beads, traditional pull-along toys, toys featuring the beloved Krteček mole character, and much more, have been known and loved in the Czech Republic by many generations, who in turn have handed down these long-lasting and traditional toys to their children. Detoa wooden toys contribute to the development of children's motor skills, are non-toxic and harmless, and help to build children's relationships to natural materials as well as fostering their innate creativity, healthier prosocial skills and neural development. The timber used to produce these toys is extracted from mountains in central Europe and is colored with ecologically-friendly paints and varnishes specially chosen because they do not harm the environment or your child.
