Kuzebauch Gallery

Hidden in the historic neighborhood of Břevnov and set on peaceful Říčanova Street is the Kuzebauch Gallery, which has been attracting lovers of glassworks and other pieces of art combining unique materials and techniques. This small, private gallery was established in 2012 with the main goal to present exceptional examples of studio art made by both young talented artists and renowned names from the world of applied arts. Quite soon after its foundation, the Kuzebauch Gallery took the position of a place that regularly provides unique art pieces. Kuzebauch Gallery organizes regular exhibitions in its interior and other places and always chooses the best of novice artists and the well-known giants from the field, including both Czech and foreign names. Thus far, the gallery has hosted art exhibitions of works by Lada Semecká, Petr Stanický, Ondřej Strnadel, a joint exhibition of art projects by Maxim Velčovský and the Finnish glass designer and sculpturist Riikka Latva-Somppi, an exhibition dedicated to the work of Vladimír Kopecký and also an exhibition by students from UMPRUM's Ceramics and Porcelain Studio. The curator of the Kuzebauch Gallery, Petro Nový, also works as the chief curator at the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou. Behind the foundation, concept and day-to-day operations of the gallery stands the duo of Lucie Havlová and Tomáš Hendrych, which has turned a long-term passion for materials and their usage into a tangible form and founded the Happy Materials company in 2005. This company operates not only the Kuzebauch Gallery, but also the matériO Prague library, which provides professionals from creative fields, including architecture, design, fine arts, scenography, fashion industry, etc., with inspiration and consultancy. The large amount of experience that the founders have, as well as a sincere interest in new materials, technologies and their connection with the creative sphere, make the Kuzebauch Gallery a sought after place, which has won the hearts of professionals and the general public. Open every weekday, free entrance.
