Dvorak Sec Contemporary

Opened in May of 2009 Dvorak Sec Contemporary is a top Prague-based art space that is located on bustling Dlouhá Street in the center of Prague’s Old Town. The private gallery deals exclusively with young emerging talent from the United States, Great Britain, Germany and the Czech Republic as well as artists from the last 20 years that have shaped the Contemporary art field. The young and fresh critically acclaimed artists showcased at Dvorak Sec Contemporary are of the highest caliber from their creative colleagues in their field of artwork. The space that hosts the sleek gallery is comprised of two floors, a sculpture terrace and over 800 modern square meters of exhibition space for temporary shows. The interior design of Dvorak Sec Contemporary is impressive and exciting for the city of Prague; the firm Konsepti designed the art space alongside Rudolf Netik’s architectural arch work design, which is present throughout the gallery. The program, which started in 2009 and is continuing until 2011 includes ten young and avant-garde artists from New York whose important works explore the boundaries of different types of media, interpretation and representation in the modern art form and the production of such forms. Olga Dvorak and Petr Sec, contemporary and modern art consultants and advisors who together have many years of experience with private collectors, corporations and art institutions, founded Dvorak sec contemporary and continue to provide quality consultations to art collectors and buyers. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or can be visited by appointment.
