Hostinec U Supa

Treat yourself to delicious, hearty Czech cuisine and mouthwatering beer at Hostinec U Supa. This spacious restaurant, which seats 200 people (with indoor & outdoor seating) is situated in a building that dates back to the 14th century – it was in this very building that a brewery opened in 1431 that supplied beer to the majority of pubs in old Prague.. making this setting where one of the oldest beer houses in Prague stood. Visit Hostinec U Supa today and take in the atmosphere of old Prague – still evident in U Supa's interior, which boasts late Gothic / early Renaissance vaulted ceilings and traditional beer house décor, and of course in the homemade Czech meals that they serve. Hostinec U Supa is located on Celetná Street – one of the busiest in Prague; it is interesting to note that the name Celetná is derived from the word "Caltech", which are braided buns from yeast dough, which local bakers offered in the days of old Prague. Today the street retains its charming character with the gorgeous facades of colorful houses that range in architectural style. Hostinec U Supa offers outdoor street-side seating should you wish to take it all in – or you can choose to sit in the courtyard terrace overlooking a historic fountain… or enjoy your time inside, with the restaurant's authentic beer hall décor. Hostinec U Supa's large menu includes a variety of Czech classics to choose from – all of which are meaty, tasty and hearty. Beer served at Hostinec U Supa includes home made beer "SUPA", Staropramen (filtered, unfiltered, granat, polotmavy – half dark/half light), Belgian fruit flavored beer Castle Rouge, and Stella Artois.
