Ha Noi

Situated in the residential area of Vinohrady is Ha Noi, a colorful cellar restaurant where you can find tasty and authentic Vietnamese food. The city of Prague has a large Vietnamese population but not until Ha Noi was there a decent restaurant to get your Vietnamese cuisine fix. Featured in the New York Times and on many food blogs about Prague restaurants, Ha Noi combines a bright interior complete with Vietnamese wall decorations such as straw hats, festive paintings and framed embroideries, with friendly, professional service and delicious Vietnamese delights. The menu is large featuring many Asian dishes and a specific Vietnamese specialty page- this page offers the real deal. We recommend for a starter the fresh Vegetarian spring rolls (rice paper wrapped around pineapple, carrots, cucumber and rice noodles) at 20 CZK each and served with a sweet and sour dipping sauce, that is pleasantly heavy on the garlic, and also with fresh cilantro, lime wedges and bean sprouts. For the main course we recommend the Pho Bo soup (pieces of tender beef and rice noodles in beef broth with ginger, garlic, cilantro, star anise, spring onions and more), which is served in a giant soup bowl; you definitely get your money’s worth and more, since one portion is priced at an incredibly low 79 CZK! Make sure you don't miss the traditional fried banana or fried pineapple for dessert, best enjoyed alongside a strong Vietnamese coffee sweetened with condensed milk. The restaurant offers Vietnamese tea as well as beer and wine. Ha Noi is clearly the best and one of the only places to have Vietnamese food in Prague.
