Paul

If you would like to treat yourself to a French pastry, strong coffee, fresh sandwich, or simply a lovely French baguette, head to your neighborhood Paul. With branches throughout the magical city of Prague, Paul is quickly becoming a favorite café of Prague inhabitants. This family operated brand has an intriguing history of baking that dates back to 1889 when their first bakery would open its doors to the people of Croix in Northern France; this bakery operated by Charlemagne Mayot and his wife would be the predecessor to Paul. The granddaughter of the Mayots would go on to then take over a popular bakery in Lille, France and due to the bakery’s reputable popularity they decided to keep the name of Paul. The rest is history as they say and impressively four generations later Paul is opening its doors to the world with branches successfully blossoming all over the globe. Success is due to the fact that Paul focuses on using the best possible quality ingredients in their products that are made using old world traditions. The family’s love of pastries, baking and bread making is evident in the products that Paul has become so famous for; after all, the best bread in the world comes from France, so why shouldn’t a French chain not offer the best of the best? The fact that Paul is so successful internationally and most importantly nationally suggests that all of its customers, including the French agree. At Paul you can purchase a variety of delicious breads, pastries including beloved macarons, sandwiches, good strong coffee, and more, all available to enjoy there or for take away. The interiors of all Paul cafes resemble a rustic village bakery, cozy and comfortable. Paul has several locations throughout the city of Prague.
